Briar Morris

Ridden Section: Non-Professional Trainer

Growing up in country Queensland, Briar was riding from Three years old. Her passion for eventing was lit during high school when she discovered a local country riding school.

Briar works with any horse whether it be wild handled or unhandled horses through trust and respect. She always starts from the ground up no matter what horse or background, knowing that if her horses trust and respect her then she can trust them to get her through anything.Briar loves our Aussie Brumbies and since she was a little girl has always wanted to own and train one. She now feels ready to take on the responsibility and dedication that it takes to get the trust from these amazing horses whilst showcasing what they can do.

VBA Esther

VBA Esther is a mature, black mare who was caught whilst pregnant from the Bogong High Plains regions of the Alpine National Park in Victoria in winter, 2014, along with the rest of her family, VBA Ember and stallion VBA Axle. Esther foaled down with VBA Raven at our Brumby Junction sanctuary. Esthers foal was weaned and Esther returned to one of our larger paddocks to build up her strength and continue to get used to life on a farm. Esthers trainer in the Australian Brumby Challenge is Briar Morris.
