Australian Brumby Challenge ©

Week 5:

I was so impressed with Aussie this week. Although we only worked together for 3 days he really started to chill out and it felt like he started to understand that I wouldn’t hurt him.

Before heading back to Sydney, I worked on further desensitising Aussie. Managing to work on moving my hands all the way to his rump and down his front legs. We also worked with the rope, as I rubbed it all over his body letting the end of it swing around his legs and belly. He reacted very well to the whole exercise.  

Again, this week we got no closer to leading, but I have a strong feeling that with all the advice I’ve received from the @Horsewyse magazine instagram page, I’ll be on the right track in know-time. Can’t wait to test out these new methods next week.
