Matilda & VBA Taffy

Week 8

Hi as you all know I have the one the only Taffy and this week Taffy and I have been doing a mixer of things  and I will be telling you what I have been doing.

On Sunday taffy was really excited to go on his first walk out on the dirt road were the noisy cars and trucks go past. We got a few cars go past and Taffy was a gem he got startled  when the first car came past but he was pretty good after that.

So on Tuesday I was VERY lucky to have Michelle Knoll come over to see me and Taffy and how we have been doing and to take some photo's.  To be really honest with you he wasn't that crash hot he kept pushing and shoving me around.  But on the other hand  he was so good at the stuff we were doing and it was a really windy day so that was  probably half the reason that he was pushing and shoving.  So the first thing Taffy and I did was brushing all over and feet so he was pretty good I brushed all over and I picked his front feet up but he was starting to hop all over the place so I just hold on and wait until he stops hoping and then do 2 more picks with the hoof pick and then click. The next thing we did was the float and GUESS WHAT HE WENT STRAIGHT ON and then he ate some Lucerne and then I took him off and did it all again and he was getting better by the minute. The second last thing we did was the jump, we didn't make it too big because he is only a little pony but earlier in the week I was teaching him to follow my hand over the jump and back to where we started.  The last thing we did was with the basket ball and I was just rolling it down his back and bouncing it to desensitize him to it.

THANK YOU MICHELLE KNOLL PHOTOGRAPHY FOR THE LOVELY PHOTOS AND THE TIME AND COMPANY FOR TAFFY AND I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Ground up hoof care, McDowell's Herbal and Whoa Steady Neddy Hay nets for your support.

Next week's  goal:

To go back to the basics and teach him some manners OH and to start the obstacles!
