HVBA Thor is a rising yearling gelding who was conceived in the wild and born at our colleagues, the Hunter Valley Brumby Associations sanctuary after his mother, HVBA Mountain Ash's capture. Thor entering the Australian Brumby Challenge was the perfect answer to our concerns regarding shipping a young yearling all the way to NSW to his trainer, as the HBVA are situated only hours away from Thors new trainers property! Thor grew up in a wild herd and was weaned a month before the Australian Brumby Challenge commenced. Mountain Ash and Thor originate from the Long Plain region of the Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales. Mountain Ash will likely commence traiing at the HBVA soon as she continues to get used to domestic life. Young Thor will be trained by Samantha McCallum in the Australian Brumby Challenge Yearling division.
