Tamara Janus and VBA Nugget: Week Seventeen
Wow! With only 4 weeks until Equitana, it is finally starting to hit me what we have achieved and how much Nugget has developed.
I am very proud of the horse he is becoming and this week we have just been refining what we have been working on in previous weeks. As we have been focusing on our flatwork education, I want to ensure he has the best possible start for his life after Equitana. Nugget is starting to use his core and back muscles working in a frame at walk & trot and developing this in canter.
This week for a bit of fun we worked bridleless for a few sessions too, he is such a level headed horse & happily loped around. We also brought out a few different jumps as whilst he will jump, he is not super brave and often pauses before a jump. I wanted to build his confidence & show him new things. Suprisingly, Nugget shows a lot of scope jumping approx. 1meter with ease!
