Australian Brumby Challenge ©
On the weekend I decided to take Dynamo back over the bridge which she did confidently and even allowed me to stop her with each individual foot on it. I decided to give Dynamo some time off this week as she has been working non-stop. This break means Dynamo can now work hard before EQUITANA. Breaks are extremely important mentally for a horse especially a young horse like Dynamo. I have spent my time this week planning my freestyle routine including equipment, music and costumes for me as well as Dynamo.
Next week I hope to do some work ponying off one of my other horses. I’m hoping this will change the routine a bit for Dynamo. My mare Meg is a superstar of a showjumper but she is very sensible and she is fine with me leading other ponies off of her. I will start in the yard first and then if all goes well I will take them out into the big paddock.
