I started riding at 7 years old then got my own pony at eight years old. From that age on, I helped my Mum in her horse training business. At the age of 12, I started my first two horses to lead and do groundwork, using an empathetic approach. I love riding with friends, mustering and cattle work. I love my horse Legend, even though I have to help him through his nerves sometimes. I’m an average teen that loves horses and has other interests like music, acting and fotsal.
VBA Lucky is a bright chestnut gelding whose mother, VBA Tesha, was caught from Kosciuszko National Park in August 2017. Tesha was one of a group of mares who ended up at saleyards and sold for slaughter until she was discovered by the committee of the Victorian Brumby Association, purchased and brought back to our sanctuary to foal in peace.
VBA Lucky's trainer in the McDowells Australian Brumby Challenge is Trai Bryant.
